Seasons is looking for an enthusiastic and capable Cook on part-time basis, to support the kitchens within our Mango Hill community. PPT 37.5hrs per week available including weekend shifts required.

About the Role

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver menus planned by the Chef in advance, with cost controls in place.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring all food production to ensure presentation, quality product and service standards are upheld.
• Prepare, cook, and serve food according to dietary, nutritional, and cultural needs.
• Support Chef to maintain, monitor and record all Food Safety Program requirements.
• Train staff as required in the correct use of kitchen equipment, standards and procedures to ensure safe food handling.
• Efficiently order food and equipment supplies.
• Ensure compliance with the relevant food and catering preparation regulations.
• Assist with cleaning/kitchen housekeeping duties as may be required.
• Follow and implement diet and care plan directives.

Top Skills

• Proven experience with volume cooking (hotels, healthcare etc.) or similar environments.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Maintain a positive and motivated work ethic in the kitchen.
• Empathy and understanding of the needs of residents’ and their families.

Job requirements:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and/or equivalent relevant experience in a role.
• Food handler certificate.
• 2yrs+ experience in commercial kitchen, preferably within an aged care environment.
• Availability to work weekends.
• Unrestricted Australian working rights.
• Current Police check
