About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Manager Finance, this role plays a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting aged care financial operations across the business.
You will work closely with both the Finance team and operational leaders across our communities, contributing to financial integrity, process improvements, and informed decision-making.
This role is ideal for someone with strong financial accounting foundations who also enjoys working in a dynamic, operational environment within the aged care or retirement living sector.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and support month-end processes, including journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and variance analysis
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across multiple entities
Compliance & Controls
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Support quarterly and annual reporting obligations, including aged care compliance reporting
- Assist with internal and external audits
Aged Care & Home Care Financial Processes
- Support residential aged care admissions and income processes
- Assist with Home Care Package and Residential Aged Care financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with aged care funding and regulatory requirements
Business Support & Analysis
- Provide financial support and insights to Community and Care Managers
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
- Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and process improvements
Systems & Process Improvement
- Support financial systems including TechnologyOne and AlayaCare
- Contribute to system enhancements and process optimisation
- Assist in training stakeholders on financial processes and systems
About You
- Experience in aged care, home care, retirement living or a similar regulated industry (strongly preferred)
- Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Confident communicator with the ability to work across finance and operations
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
Skills & Experience
- Experience with TechnologyOne and/or AlayaCare (desirable)
- Understanding of aged care funding models and compliance requirements (highly regarded)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong overall systems capability
- CPA/CA qualified or working towards (preferred, not essential)
